Dr. Gerdes sent Wes to Cornea Associates in Dallas for a Cross Link Procedure. Whereby, eye drops applied on the cornea straightens the cell structure and reduces astigmatism.
Dr Gerdes of Eye Fasion Optical, Waco, TX then refitted Wes with new gas permeable lenses and he now sees 20/20. And more importantly, he can continue as a pilot and flight instructor.
Corneal Cross Linking is also a treatment for keratoconus.
