Dr. Trey Gerdes OD, has over 30 years of experience in Optometry. He received his optometric degree, from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He is the third generation of Gerdes' to practice in Waco since 1922. Dr. Gerdes is actively involved in his profession and has served on the boards of several optometric committees including President of the Southwest Contact Lens Society and President of the Heart of Texas Optometric Association. Love Dr Gerdes! He's got a great bedside manner. So friendly doesn't seemed rushed and sincerely converses with you and seems to care about your health. He also knows his stuff! Talked about my kids needing eye exams and he very patiently explained most kids don't need exams until they're older so not just trying to get patients either. His staff is very friendly as well.

Dr. Gerdes is the only optometrist that can get my prescription correct. He and office staff are warm, friendly and efficient! He requires masks in his office even for vaccinated clients. Thank you Dr. Gerdes for caring about your patients and staff!
